"As many of you know, Andy and I have been in the process of adoption for about a year and a half. We are in the process of finishing our paperwork to adopt 2 children from Ukraine as we write this. Friday we were sent an e-mail from our adoption coordinator with a special need. There is a 13 year old Ukrainian girl, now living in the US, in urgent need of a permanent home through adoption. Andy and I have talked with the adoption coordinator for an hour and a half, along with three other couples, and have prayed continually about the situation. We feel we can provide the home that this child needs, and that she will feel comfortable in our home
and community, as well as having her needs met. We are asking you, our church family, to please pray for this situation. This child needs a home this week, will experience another huge change in her life, and needs a family that will best meet her needs. We ask you to pray that this child will be able to come join our family, that her needs will be met, and that above all, she will be placed with the family that she most needs (We’d love for that to be us! ).
Please also pray that we make the best choices for our family. If this child comes into our family, do we still pursue the adoption of 2 additional children from Ukraine?

· Guidance on continuation of adoption of two additional children.

| "My sister's sister-in-law was just admitted to the ICU with some sort of blood vessel problem in her head. They're not yet sure what it is, and they're very scared. She has a couple of young children, about upper elementary school age. Please pray for her and the family!" |
